Swetha Basu Prasad need no introduction. She began her career as a Child Artist and even bagged National Award for her performance in 'Makdee'. In 2008, This Talented Girl was launched as Heroine with 'Kotha Bangaru Lokam' directed by Srikanth Addala. She has even done few other Telugu films later but none of them were successful.

Getting caught in the sex racket in 2014 by the biggest turning point in Swetha Basu's life. The Actress was shifted to state home where she taught music lessons to kids. Few months later, Court has given clean chit to her.

Post this phase, Swetha Basu took a break from Films and choose to work behind the camera in association with Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's production house. She is now acting in a Hindi Tele Serial 'Chandra Nandini'. When she took part in the promotions of this TV Show, Media asked few questions related to the prostitution case. Swetha Basu made it clear to them she is in no mood to react on that matter. 'I need work, not sympathy. Currently, My complete focus is on the career,' she maintained.
