Superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali has taken an earth shattering opening at the box office as expected. Kabali has not only opened huge in Tamilnadu but also in other Southern states as well. Kabali opening day collections in the Telugu states are on par with Tollywood biggies.
It has been a while since a big release has hit the marquee and Kabali is making the most of it. However, early reports of Kabali are not so encouraging which might take a toll in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Selfie Raja which has had a decent start at the ticket windows failed to capitalize on the void at the box office.
Selfie Raja collections have dropped drastically in the weekdays. Trisha's Nayaki ended up as a big flop. It was totally gone unnoticed despite showing some promise prior to its release. Kabali may hold until the weekend, but the real test for it will start from Monday.
