It is the Indian mindset that if you work exceptionally hard for the company the company will take care of you. This notion is far from the truth.

Indian implementation partners and full time employers only care about their quarterly earnings, CEO and top management salaries and bonuses and least care whether you get green card or not.

If you are on L1-B, H1-B without being sponsored for green card, H1-B sponsored in EB-3 category debating whether you will get your green card first or retire first, it is time for you to take action.

There are many options like finding an employer who would port your application from EB-3 to EB-2 category etc.

Permanent residence for every country is becoming tough. Canadian permanent residence has become very difficult and Canadian permanent residence applications without Canadian employer job offers are not being approved even after waiting for years as they are put in last priority.

Our colonial ancestor United Kingdom has banned Tier 2 Intra Company Transferees (L1-B equivalent) from applying for Indefinite Leave to remain in UK (Green card equivalent).
