Allu Arjun's next with Harish Shankar is a wholesome comedy entertainer. Allu Arjun is going to be seen in a never seen before character as DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham. Allu Arjun is playing a Brahmin character that is reminiscent of Chari character from Adurs. 

Industry insiders say that Harish Shankar who had worked as a ghost writer for Adurs has written the whole track of Chari and Brahmanandam in it. So news about DJ seems believable.

We can expect yet another complete entertainer from Allu Arjun who is currently going through the golden phase in his career. 

As Harish Shankar hasn't lived up to expectations post Gabbar Singh is determined to bounce back with a solid entertainer. Duvvada Jagannadham is scheduled for summer 2017 release.

Mumbai: Filmaker Ram Gopal Varma, also known as RGV, is all set for the third part of his "Sarkar" saga featuring megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.

Varma, who shifted to Hyderabad and made slew of Telugu films, is back here and is set to storm the box- office with "Sarkar" franchise.

Excerpts from the interview: 

Q. Why 'Sarkar 3' at this stage of your career?

A. The point of continuing any franchise is only when the characters create an impact and Mr. Bachchan did that so powerfully in "Sarkar".

Amitji and I were discussing ideas on how we should make "Sarkar 3" since a few years and we both were clear that we won't attempt it unless we are extremely sure we can (give) better (than) what has been already done in "Sarkar" in 2005 and "Sarkar Raj" in 2008. So to get the absolutely right content was the reason for the delay.

Q. How different would he be in "Sarkar 3"?

A. The last time I saw Amitji in an angry man's role was only in "Sarkar" 10 years ago and I designed that character from the angry image he derived from his portrayal in iconic films like "Zanjeer", "Deewar" and "Bemisal". In "Sarkar" my ambition is to portray him as being angrier than ever and that of course for highly valid reasons.

Q. How do you plan to present him to ensure a uniqueness and novelty in looks and emotions?

A. More than anything else, his character will have a very powerful screen presence along with his trademark intimidating stares, shriveling scowls and highly memorable one-liners, which is the tradition of "Sarkar".

Q. Tell us about "Sarkar 3" plot. How would it move forward from second part of "Sarkar"?

A. It's too early to reveal the plot of "Sarkar 3" but it will be much bigger in its scale and scope than the earlier two "Sarkar" films.

Q. Who else have you cast in the film?

A. There are a lot of characters in the film and the cast details will be shared soon.

Q. What do you feel about the changes in the Hindi film industry during the last few years while you were busy in Hyderabad?

A. Changes happen every Friday and they will keep happening and people will keep adapting to the changes and as long as people keep adapting changes won't matter.

Q. A lot of studios and corporate houses are apparently shutting down in Bollywood. Do you see a crisis looming in the Hindi film industry?

A. I have been hearing about film industry's crises ever since I first came into the industry, but the number of films being made kept on going up irrespective of the crises. Afterall, this exaggerated hullabaloo about various corporates shutting down, my prediction is that there will be more number of films made now compared to last year.

Avasarala Srinivas, the man with multiple shades as actor, writer and director is excitedly geared up for his second directorial venture Jyo Achyuthananda releasing on September 9th. He is a spirited actor, a flaming writer and passionate story teller with feverish for direction. 

"Actually, I entered into industry to become both an actor and director. I began writing scripts nearly 10 years ago approaching many producers. I wrote for Golconda High School and worked for Ashta Chemma before Oohalu Gusagusalade happened, thanks to Sai Korrapati garu for recognizing the director in me. Overall, I enjoy the whole process of film making," Avasarala told Greatandhra.com in an exclusive chat.     

All the audience anticipating Jyo Achyuthananda as triangular love story between Nara Rohith, Naga Shourya and Regina Cassandra, the director is totally against to address his film as a rom-com.

"The first response Jyo Achyuthananda offered with the teaser among the audience panicked me. A triangular love story expectation has automatically built on it. But, Jyo Achyuthananda is not a love story. This is an emotional story between two brothers which is beyond a love story. It's not light hearted like Oohalu, there is a heavy emotion to drive at viewers heart. I wanted to make audience prepared before entering into theater. First few minutes into the film, you understand what I am saying. You will be thrown to a completely different treat than anticipated," Srinivas makes us prepared for the show.

Nara Rohith and Naga Shourya make this film a multi starrer. According to Avasarala, the csting wasn't really forced.

"I began writing for Jyo Achyuthananda after wrapping Oohalu. I narrated the script to four young heroes. Everyone was willing to work on solo hero scripts but not multi starrers. I was also hesitant about Nara Rohith to accept the project. But, he liked it in one sitting. Then Naga Shourya is pulled in. For someone to be over carrying and dominant as central lady, we selected Regina Cassandra who does the justice," adds Srinivas about the casting.

Every writer and director is mandatorily inspired and equipped with a motivational force from behind. There are quite a few for Avasarala too.

"Till last two films, I felt myself very poor at Telugu writing and pronunciation. I drew lot of stimulus from reading books and grew up watching Jandhyala, Bapu and K Vishwanath movies at home playing in VCR and VCPs. In theaters, I used to watch and enjoy Chiranjeevi films very much," Srinivas said.

Avasarala is eager to continue as an actor, writer and director proving him-self capable of handling any genre.

"I've committed to Hunterr as hero and four to five projects already signed. As director, I have two more. One with Nani as hero and second is for Vaaraahi banner. Producer Sai Korrapati is a very kind person. We both share a common vision and are in one page. So, it makes me comfortable to do third project with him very soon," Avasarala signs off with a positive noted smile.

New York: Having sex once a week or more -- and enjoying it -- puts older men at higher risk for heart attacks and other cardiovascular problems, warns a new study.

For older women, however, good sex may actually lower the risk of hypertension, the study noted.

"These findings challenge the widely held assumption that sex brings uniform health benefits to everyone," said Hui Liu, Associate Professor at Michigan State University in the US.

"Strikingly, we find that having sex once a week or more puts older men at a risk for experiencing cardiovascular events that is almost two times greater than older men who are sexually inactive," Liu said. 

"Moreover, older men who found sex with their partner extremely pleasurable or satisfying had higher risk of cardiovascular events than men who did not feel so," she noted.

Liu and colleagues analysed survey data from 2,204 people who were aged 57-85 when the first wave of data was collected in 2005-06; another round of data was collected five years later. 

Cardiovascular risk was measured as hypertension, rapid heart rate, elevated C-reactive protein and general cardiovascular events -- heart attack, heart failure and stroke.

Older men who had sex once a week or more were much more likely to experience cardiovascular events five years later than men who were sexually inactive, the study found.

This risk was not found among older women, said the study published in the Journal of Health and Social Behaviour.

The findings suggest the strain and demands from a sexual relationship may be more relevant for men as they get older, become increasingly frail and suffer more sexual problems, Liu said.

"Because older men have more difficulties reaching orgasm for medical or emotional reasons than do their younger counterparts, they may exert themselves to a greater degree of exhaustion and create more stress on their cardiovascular system in order to achieve climax," she explained.

Ultimately, while moderate amounts of sex may promote health among older men, having sex too frequently or too enjoyably may be a risk factor for cardiovascular problems, Liu said.

For women, it was a different story. Female participants who found sex to be extremely pleasurable or satisfying had lower risk of hypertension five years later than female participants who did not feel so.

"For women, we have good news: Good sexual quality may protect older women from cardiovascular risk in later life," Liu said.

Previous studies suggest that strong, deep and close relationship is an important source of social and emotional support, which may reduce stress and promote psychological well-being and, in turn, cardiovascular health.

Moreover, the female sexual hormone released during orgasm may also promote women's health, she said.

Fresh from the success of "Nannaku Prematho", NTR has teamed up with hit director Koratala Siva for "Janatha Garage". Ever since the movie was announced, it has created huge interest among the film lovers and with the casting of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal the interest hiked further.

As Koratala Siva is in top form and the trailers have become popular, the movie generated huge expectations. Touted as one of the biggest movies this season, it has hit screens in Telugu and Malayalam languages simultaneously.

Let's find out how the film has fared and whether it has the potential to become blockbuster. 

Story:
Satyam (Mohanlal) establishes an auto garage in Hyderabad in early 1980's. Soon he becomes a leader to their locality. All people in the neighbourhood approach him for help and he also "repairs" (bashes up) men who do wrong to the people.

In the present day, Anand (NTR), an environmental researcher, studying and living in Mumbai frequently lands in problems for his cases against powerful people who pollute the nature. He also knows how to teach them a lesson by bashing them.

On a study exchange program, Anand comes down to Hyderabad and he closes down the illegal quarry of Satyam's son Raghava (Unni). Impressed with Anand's aggressive and righteous nature, Satyam asks him to take over his garage. Why? What is his motive?

Artistes' Performances:
NTR has excelled once again where performance is concerned. He has shown his maturity when he does the scene of Samantha leaving him.

The great actor Mohanlal has not much scope for giving great performance but his presence itself mesmerizes. Samantha and Nithya Menen are wasted in the movie. Sai Kumar's role is laughable. Ajay's character lacks proper depth. The villainy done by Unni and Sachin Khedekar also fail to give desired results.

Among other actors Devyani has done good job. Kajal Agarwal's item song comes at wrong time but she has tried to spice up the screen with ample skin show.

Technical Excellence: 
The film boasts high technical values with top-notch camera work by renowned cinematographer Thiru and great artwork. Much of the film is shot at Janatha Garage set and even Mumbai set props are eye-catching.

Devi Sri Prasad's music is okay. Only couple of songs are good. Editing is bad - from pace to keeping plenty of unnecessary scenes. Fights are routine. Dialogues are good but direction and narration are not effective.

Analysis: 
"Idhi Oka Kutumba Katha"

"Janatha Garage", the latest film from director Koratala Siva, begins with this note. Although it has widely been publicized as a commercial movie with an importance of protecting the nature, the film is actually more about family and its dynamics.

The first half of the movie stresses on hero and his attitude of protecting the nature, while the second half focuses on the family issues. This mish-mash doesn't work perfectly.

From the beginning of the movie, the scenes doesn't excite as all of them are predictable. The first half of the film is totally dull. The hero's attitude and his dual track with the both the heroine moves at snail pace with no exciting scenes. Added to this there is no entertainment at all. Then comes the second half which is better than the first half and offers some genuine good moments involving Mohanlal and NTR.

What works in the film? Couple of episodes in the second half have worked out. There is a scene where NTR goes to GHMC office to help an officer played Rajeev Kanakala who is threatened by a goon. The way the scene is handled is superb. This is the best mass scene. Then there is one scene where NTR says I am puli, which is also effective. Apart from these scenes, the performance of NTR is huge strength. Single-handedly, he lifts many scenes. Although NTR has not played to the gallery, there are some scenes where he excelled at with his convincing portrayal.

Apart from these couple of good scenes, entire movie runs on expected lines with the absolutely weak story. The plot is so very cliched. In one particular scene, a Chief Minister calls for all-party meet and Mohanlal, who is just a local leader in some part of the city, to attend this and CM drops the idea of a big project on the objection of this leader. In another predictable scene, a leader hatches a plan to plant bombs in city to dethrone the current CM. In how many films haven't we seen this? Such outdated scenes are aplenty.

And there is a villain who is rich corporate but fears Mohanlal as if the latter controls entire Hyderabad. Even 25 years later, he still treats him as threat to his business expansion although Mohanlal still is a mere garage owner.

Moreover, the pattern of hero introduction and his philosophy of working for the society is similar to the director's second film "Srimanthudu". The scene between NTR and Suresh in the beginning is exact mirror of Mahesh Babu and Jagapathi Babu.

Siva Koratala's writing is full of errors. His screenplay is not convincing. Although NTR and Mohanlal have tried hard to save this wafer thin script, the cliched work doesn't soar up much. And the movie moves on and on with slow pace.

Wonder how Samantha (who appears skimpiest dresses) and Nithya Menen have agreed to play such roles where they don't have any substance.  Koratala Siva takes too much time to establish the simple story line. The climax is seen in many movies earlier.

But the major issue of the movie is the story of Koratala Siva which is not at all new. All in all, the movie can be watched for some moments in the second half and NTR's terrific performance. Not a good movie but not totally bad either.

After signing and acting movies with big stars like Allu Arjun, NTR, Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu, Rakul Preet Singh is now balancing her career with young heroes.

She has already signed to pair up with Sai Dharam Tej. Now she has agreed to play as main heroine in Naga Chaitanya's next movie that will be launched next month.

Rakul Preet Singh will be pairing up with Naga Chaitanya for the first time in the romantic entertainer to be directed by Kalyana Krishna of "Soggade Chini Nayana" fame.

Although the director approached her long back, she just gave her final confirmation and agreed to give dates from October.

Interestingly, the role was originally written for Samantha. But Nagarjuna reportedly asked the director and hero Naga Chaitanya to go for another heroine.

Nagarjuna's idea as Samantha is soon be getting married to Naga Chaitanya, the pairing up would not excite the audiences. So then Rakul was approached. She is said to be getting very good remuneration for this film.

She has simply wrapped the globe with her little fingers! Priyanka Chopra has now taken over the cover page of Harper's Bazaar India. PC has graced on the magazine's September issue.
