From being a ground staff at popular airline company SpiceJet and working as a technical assistant at Dell Computers to becoming India's first ever Mr World, 26-year-old Hyderabadi model Rohit Khandelwal's journey is quite an inspiring story.

On Wednesday night, Rohit was crowned the coveted Mr World 2016 title at the grand finale of the Mr World competition organized at the Southport Theatre & Convention Centre in Southport, UK. Even though India is used to seeing Miss Worlds and Miss Universes, this is the first time that the country has got its Mr World.

After completing his graduation at Aurora Degree College in Hyderabad and working at SpiceJet and Dell, Rohit shifted to Mumbai where he worked as a model and actor. Rohit was also seen in a diamond commercial alongside Kareena Kapoor.

Rohit won the Mr World contest by defeating 46 contestants from across the world to be crowned the first Indian Mr World. Rohit received a cash prize of USD 50,000 (Rs. 33,59,497) on winning his dream title. -
