In the wake of violent incidents in Karnataka over the Supreme Court verdict on Cauvery Water dispute, Tamil Nadu Government has beefed up the security of Tamil Actors who have their roots in the neighboring state. Additional security has been provided for Superstar Rajinikanth, Prabhudeva, Actor-cum-Director Ramesh Aravind and Bobby Simha as a precautionary measure

Rajinikanth was born in Maharashtra. He, however, was brought up in Karnataka and hence he spent most of the years before his launch as an actor here. Choreographer-cum-Director Prabhudeva have roots in Karnataka and he was born here. Whereas, Ramesh Aravind and Bobby Simha shot to fame with Kannada films.
Around 20,000 Police Force have been deployed in Karnataka. Special Rapid Force and Paramilitary Forces were deployed in huge numbers following Yesterday's violence.
Celebrities have been appealing Kannadigas not to opt for destruction process as such incidents would only spread hatred among people of two states.
