Former Bollywood Actress Mamta Kulkarni who was charged with involvement in Rs 2,000 crore drugs racket claims to be innocent. She describes herself as a Yogini who is into spirituality since 20 years. 
Mamta Kulkarni urged External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Minister of unnecessarily dragging her name into the drug racket. 'I have done nothing wrong. I'm a victim of conspiracy by US Drug Enforcement Administration and Thane Police,' she told.
The Team of lawyers hired by Mamta Kulkarni accused Thane Police of falsely implicating their Client inspite of lacking concrete evidence to prove the charges. They say, One of the accused in the Drug Racket already altered his statement and the evidence collected by police willn't be sufficient for even reaching the trail stage.
On June 18th, Thane Police bursted a drug racket worth Rs 2,000 crore. Drug kingpin Vicky Goswami and his wife/business partner Mamta Kulkarni were booked for involvement. Later, Thane Police asked CBI to issue Red Corner Notice against Mamta for her deportation from Kenya where she is based currently.
