Andhra Pradesh Minister for Higher Education Ganta Srinivasa Rao, who is considered to be a close associate of megastar Chiranjeevi, still feels emotional about his disassociation with Praja Rajyam Party.
He told ABN Andhra Jyothy channel in an interview that he virtually broke down while giving his resignation letter to Chiranjeevi. And the megastar, too, was in tears, while accepting his resignation.
“It was an emotional moment. I thought of quitting politics, after Praja Rajyam fiasco. But I continued because of Chiranjeevi. And before 2014 elections, I had no option but to join my parent party TDP,” he said.
And Chiranjeevi, too, took it easy. “He told me it was good that I am joining the TDP and not YSR Congress party. And he wished me all the best,” Ganta said, in an emotional voice.
Even now, Ganta and Chiranjeevi maintain very good relations, though TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu may not like it.
“After Naga Babu and Pavan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi likes me the most as his third brother,” Ganta said.
