Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh has collected a gross of $606K through premiere shows in USA. This is second biggest opener in USA after SS Rajamouli's magnum opus film Baahubali that raked $1395K from the premiere shows in the territory.
Sardaar has become the highest grosser for Pawan Kalyan. His previous best was Attarintiki Daredi which had collected $345K at the USA box office in the preview shows. Sardaar has shattered superstar Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu premiere show gross to take second place from the premieres in the country. The Koratala Siva directorial minted $560K from the US premiere shows.
Though the ticket price was increased to $25 in some locations, Sardaar registered good amount of bookings and the film ran to packed houses in several centers in the premiere shows.
Nonetheless, trade analysts predict that, Sardaar will have great run at USA box office only till the weekend and the collections would slow down from Monday, as a result of poor reviews and negative mouth talk. -
