Bollywood star hero Hrithik Roshan had narrow escape from the terror attack at Istanbul airport. Hrithik was there at the Instanbul airport a little before three suicide bombers struck the airport killing 36 and injuring close to 150 people. Hrithik along with his sons Hrehaan, Hridhaan was on a vacation in Spain and Africa. He was on his return to India via Istanbul when three suicide bombers attacked the airport.
Hrithik had missed connecting flight at Istanbul and was stuck at Istanbul airport. Since the next flight was only next day, Hrithik took economy n flew out earlier. Thus he escaped the tragedy by inches.
Taking to Twitter, Hrithik wrote on his micro-blogging page, "missed connecting flight at Istanbul n wer stuck at airport next flight ws next day,but took economy n flew out earlier. #Prayers4istanbul." He added, "Ws helped by d kindest staff at Istanbul arport hours ago. Shocking news. Innocents killed 4 religion. V must stand united against terrorism." (Sic).
The attack on Europe's third-busiest airport is one of the deadliest in a series of suicide bombings in Turkey that is battling insurgency by Kurdish militants in its Southeast and neighbouring Syria's civil war.
One attacker opened fire in the departures hall with an automatic rifle, sending passengers diving for cover and trying to flee, before all three blew themselves up in or around the arrivals hall a floor below, witnesses and officials shared. -
