Ace director reworking on his own films

Veteran director Mani Ratnam is a specialist in romantic movies. Barring a few, most of his films turned out as classics. All his films boast excellent technical values. But, his recent movies seemed to an updated version of his old hit films.

His last film 'Ok Bangaram' resembles Mani Ratnam's classical love story 'Sakhi'. But with Dulqar and Nitya Menon's adorable chemistry, the film turned successful. Recently, the first look of his upcoming flick 'Kaatru Veliyidai' was released. The film revolves around a fighter jet pilot and middle class women in Kashmir backdrop. Kaarthi and Aditi Rao Hydri played the lead roles in the film. The first thing which struck our minds is Mani Ratnam's epic film 'Roja'. Major part of 'Roja' was shot in Kashmir and the storyline too is quite common in these two films.
