It is a known fact that Prince Mahesh's 'Srimanthudu' has brilliantly showcased the adoption and developing of villages concept. The movie was lauded by the critics. At the box office too, the movie emerged as a money spinner.
Banking on the message content of the movie the makers have sent the movie for nominations of money award events. And the movie was nominated for national awards as well. As we all know, 'Baahubali' was adjudged the best feature film of India as such it shattered the hopes of 'Srimanthudu' makers.
Gunasekhar's 'Rudhramadevi' was also nominated for national awards. This movie was also ignored by the awards committee. Critics are pointing out that lobbying worked wonders with national awards of various movies. Incidentally, Mahesh hasn't tweeted about 'Baahubali's award. On the other hand, Stylish Star Allu Arjun, who played Gona Gannareddy role in 'Rudhramadevi', praised 'Baahubali' team through his twitter page.
