A day after veteran Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor was seen leaning out of a suburban local train during a promotional stint for his forthcoming show "24", the Western Railway here on Friday slapped a notice on the production house demanding an explanation on the stunts by the actor.
"Inspite of the terms and conditions to adhere strictly to safety and security during shoot, Anil Kapoor allegedly seems to be leaning from the footboard of a local train during a promo shoot on July 14," said an official of the Western Railway.
This was clearly observed from videos and photo uploaded on various social media networks, the official added.
Now, the Western Railway has sought an explanation from the production house Messrs. Market Men Consumer & Events Pvt. Ltd. in this regard.
Anil undertook a short local train journey from Churchgate station accompanied by hordes of fans and media persons in tow to promote his upcoming television action-drama series, "24: Season 2".
An adaptation of the popular American TV series "24", it will mark his return to the small screen in the role of Jai Singh Rathod, to be aired on Colors channel from July 23.
The Western Railway official explained that by leaning out of the running train from the footboard, the actor could inspire youngsters to perform similar stunts.
Beset with many such instances in the past when youngsters performing daredevil stunts have been killed or permanently maimed, the railway authorities have regularly campaigned for safety and security during train commutes.

Washington: Democratic Party's presumptive presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is leading Republican rival Donald Trump in four crucial swing states, a new poll has revealed.
A swing state is a US state where the two major political parties have similar levels of support among voters, important in deciding the final result of a presidential election.
The NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll issued on Friday found Clinton with high single-digit leads in Colorado, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia, CNN reported.
Clinton leads Trump in Colorado 43 per cent to 35 per cent, the poll showed.
In Florida, Clinton also paced Trump, 44 per cent to 37 per cent. Clinton was ahead of Trump in North Carolina 44 per cent to 38 per cent, a state which President Barack Obama won for Democrats in 2008 for the first time since 1976.
Finally, Clinton led Trump comfortably in Virginia, 44 per cent to 35 per cent, CNN reported citing the poll.
Meanwhile, a poll conducted by Quinnipiac University, Connecticut, released earlier this week for Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Iowa, showed closer races, with Trump leading or tied with Clinton.
In Florida, Quinnipiac found Trump up 3 percentage points to Clinton, 42 per cent-39 per cent.
However, both the surveys found about one in five voters in Florida were undecided or did not support either Trump or Clinton, CNN noted.

Credit Card processing company Gravity Payments and its Founder and CEO Dan Price gained fame with the young boss announced to raise pay to $70,000 a year for all employees, after an establish period. Price then said he would also make $70,000, dropping his salary from more than $1 million annually.
While this was the shock for the employees then, they now shocked their boss gifting him Tesla Model S on Wednesday. On the very next day, Price posted news of his costly gift on Facebook, saying "Shocked. Still in disbelief. Never imagined this was possible. Gravity employees saved up and pitched in over the past six months and bought me my dream car."
The post showed a photo of a poster signed by employees reading "Dan: Thank you for always putting the team before yourself."

Yami Gautam made headlines in the recent past mostly due to her love affair with young hero Pulkit Samrat. The other day, Pulkit's Wife Shweta Rohira even alleged that Yami Gautam is the reason behind their separation.

Namrata on Saturday took part in the Haritha Haram programme held at Siddarpur, the village adopted by her Husband Mahesh Babu. She lauded the efforts of State Government to bring a change with plantation of 230 crore saplings.
Although Namrata has come here few times already, Mahesh Babu is yet to visit Siddapur village. Mostly, He would be planning for a tour prior to the release of his next project.
As per latest update, Shooting of Mahesh Babu & AR Murugadoss movie would start from July end. Rakul Preet Singh does the role of female lead. If the sources are to be believed Nadiya will be seen as Wife of SJ Suryah who reprised the role of antagonist in the project. Makers want this biggie to set the cash registers ringing in Summer 2017

Karthika has a big family background in films. She had a great launching in the film industry with a big film and could come up the ladder quickly due to her talent. But she could not sustain it for long because of her bad luck.
Having failed in all her attempts to shine as a heroine in the last seven years, this Malayalee damsel is now focussing on television serials.
To recall her background, Karthika is the daughter of a top heroine of yesteryears Radhika. Her aunt Ambika was also a very popular heroine those days.
Karthika got the excellent launching pad with "Josh." Since it is also the debut film of Naga Chaitanya, son of Akkineni Nagarjuna, as the hero, there was a lot of hype and publicity for the film. Yet, the film was not a big hit, much to the disappointment of Karthika.
Later, Karthika acted in several Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam movies, including big films like Dammu, hit films like Rangam and a few other art films. Though she received appreciation for her action, she did not get good offers subsequently. Having no other option, Karthika has started testing her luck in television serials.
