Niharika's debut Oka Manasu ended up as big disaster as the film said to have incurred over Rs 3 Crore losses to its distributors. The romantic drama did a pre-release business of 4 to 4.5 Crore thanks to the hype on mega heroine Niharika. However, it failed to translate into box office success as the film didn't fare well at the ticket windows.
Surprisingly, the film's openings were good all over and got more than expected monies. But it didn't last long and it saw a severe dip in its collections due to poor reviews and bad word-of-the-mouth. It needs to be seen how these losses would be compensated.
