Story

Rana Daggupati who earned acclaim with his debut film ‘Leader' is still searching for hit after his films ‘Nenu Naa Raakshasi' and ‘Naa Ishtam' bombed at box office. Rana chose the successful director Krish who not only give entertainment, but also sends sublime message through his films. Krish created lot of buzz with the title and made this as bi lingual in Telugu and Tamil. The film released all over the world in record number of theaters.

Babu (Rana) is an artist in Surabhi Theater formed by his grandfather Subhramanyam (Kota). Babu wanted to leave the profession and go to US for higher studies as the theater artists' future is bleak. But, Subhramanyam requests his grandson to perform one last show in his native Bellary and dies. Babu decides to fulfill his grandfather last wish before he leaves for US.

Babu and his troop goes to Beallary to give show where he bumps into journalist Devika (Nayanatara) who is making a documentary on Reddappa ( Milind Gunaji), a mining mafia don. A small tussle between Reddappa henchman Syda and Babu leads into a rivalry between them. When Babu tries to dig deep into Reddappa background with the help of Devika, Babu comes to know some stunning facts about his parent's death.

Who is behind Babu parents death and how Babu freed the locals from mining mafia don forms the crux of the story.

Performance

Rana showed ease in the acting compared to his previous movies. His physique best suited for the action scenes, but need to improve a lot in dances.

Nayantara role is not promising and didn’t etch well. Milind Ganaji best suited for the role as antagonist. Kota Srinivasa Rao is brief. Murali Sharma is wasted. Ravi Prakash appears in a less prominent role.

Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu and Rajesh tried their best to evoke laughs. Posani entertained the audience with his typical mannerism and dialogue delivery.

Two items songs by Sameera Reddy and Hazel Keech are not impressive and big speed breakers in the movie. Venkatesh appears in the fag end of the item song with Sameera.

Technical

Director Krish who is best known for his screenplay ran out of ideas in second half. The first half is promising with director connecting all the characters well with the social problem. But, second half is big letdown with ordinary screenplay. Director didn’t etch the characters well.

Music is average, but background score is very good .Cinematography is good. Action scenes are commendable. The plus point for the film is dialogues. They are entertaining yet thought provoking. There are few scenes which can be easily avoided.

Analysis

Krish who gives entertainment with an undercurrent message failed miserably in the movie. The movie takes of well protagonist appears like taking on social issue, but director deviated the subject and concentrated on revenge drama. The whole second half is nothing but a revenge drama with loose screenplay and predictable climax.

On the whole, ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ chances at the box office are bleak. This movie will become another flop in Rana’s list.

London, Nov 29: The legend of "Bigfoot" is not only real, but the creature is a direct relative of man and had sex with human females 15,000 years ago, says a new study that used so-called real DNA samples.

Texan veterinarian-researcher Melba S. Ketchum and her firm DNA Diagnostics worked for five years, and concluded that the mythic Bigfoot is indeed a human hybrid that descended from human women who mated with men of "an unknown hominin species", the Daily Mail reported.

However, Ketchum has presented no evidence yet for her findings, nor has she had her work reviewed by peers, the daily said.

Ketchum said mitochondrial DNA in the samples, which she apparently obtained from leftover blueberry bagels eaten by a family of 10 bigfoots who lived in Michigan, show clear evidence of genetic mixing.

Scientists have demanded that Ketchum present her evidence but she has so far declined to make anything public.

If her study is proven, it would suggest two options for scientists -- one that Bigfoot did have sex with ancient human women 15,000 years ago, and created a half-human hybrid species which is currently hiding in North America, and another is that the samples are contaminated.

Ketchum said the US government should immediately recognise Bigfoot as "an indigenous people and immediately protect their human and Constitutional rights".

Hyderabad, Nov 26: Six people, including a week-old baby, were killed in a massive fire that broke out in sheds erected for a film shoot and later spread to a residential building at Poppalaguda on the city's outskirts, police said Monday.

Three others were injured in the tragedy Sunday night, one of the worst fire accidents in the city in recent times.

The incident occurred at Sriramnagar colony at Poppalaguda in Ranga Reddy district.

Two women and a week-old baby were among those killed. The building watchman died of suffocation after he was trapped in the lift.

After battling for nearly two hours, three fire tenders and fire fighting personnel managed to douse the flames, which had engulfed four floors of the apartment building.

According to police, plastic and other combustible material used for film shooting was dumped in a shed, which caught fire around 8.30 a.m.

Witnesses said that within a few minutes, flames and smoke engulfed the adjacent Baba Nivas apartment. The staircase close to the shed filled with thick smoke, making it impossible for residents to escape.

Locals and fire fighting personnel rescued some people from the other side of the building.

State Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy, who rushed to the scene and supervised rescue and relief work, announced an inquiry into the cause of the fire. The blaze was suspected to have been caused by short circuit.

As locals complained that fire tenders reached late, causing the high casualty figure, the home minister explained that the delay was because fire station personnel took time to trace the locality.

She said awareness would be created among the fire services staff about the new residential areas on the city's periphery.

Film industry must run on the values of ethics and principles but there are those rotten bugs in the circuit who bring bad name to the entire industry with their behavior. The sad part is, such people exist even in the top range also. Despite having money and everything, their basic character is cheap.

The reason for this discussion is after hearing about one producer. He is known as one of the top producers and recently his name came up due to a controversy. Anyways, it is heard that this producer has got the habit of womanizing and that is a common thing in industry but here is the difference.

It is heard that this producer uses a girl only once and never goes back to her. While that is one side, the worst part in him is, he doesn’t pay that girl. Basically, he simply applies the ‘use and throw’ formula on the girls. Using it in work is known but doing like this even on bed is something disgusting. Shame on this man!!

“Komatireddy brothers were interested only in money making and contracts, rather than Telangana. I have been predicting for a long time that they would leave the Congress party to join the Jagan camp,” he pointed out.

Hyderabad, Nov 19: Unidentified people set afire six cars near the Andhra Pradesh High Court early Monday, police said. The arson attack took place when the situation in the old city was returning to normal after violent incidents Friday.

Police said cars parked in the Ghansi Bazar area near the high court premises were set ablaze by some youths who came on motorcycles. Police have retrieved the footage of the arsonists from closed circuit cameras installed in the area and were trying to identify them.

The footage showed a youth pouring petrol on a car and setting it afire before fleeing on a motorcycle with his accomplice. The attack was recorded 3.20 a.m.

Police suspect it to be an attempt to incite violence in the old city, which witnessed a series of attacks and clashes in the past two weeks over a temple abutting the historic Charminar monument. As many as 10 people were injured and many vehicles were set afire during the violence near Charminar Friday.

The communally-sensitive area was simmering over alleged expansion of the temple abutting the Charminar in violation of court orders.

Accusing the Congress government of colluding with communal forces, its ally Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) last week withdrew support to it.

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy Monday reviewed the law and order situation with Director General of Police Dinesh Reddy and other top police officials.

Big butt is a healthy sign
London, Nov 19: Men get heart attacks by watching shapely butts of women. Some made a forward march in their careers with their backs turned to the front. Socialite and US reality TV star Kim Kardashian is more famous by her hind than anything else. Even actress Jennifer Lopez's hind is more talked about, than her other exceptional talents.

Apart form the sensation it might cause, a heavy posterior is a sign of good health, a new research suggests. The extra padding on the backside and thighs could even help to protect against disease.

Researchers have conducted studies on health effects of fat stores in different parts of human body, particularly around hips and thighs. Lead researcher Konstantinos Manolopoulos of the University of Oxford, England says that body's fat distribution was quite important for one's health. His new article summarizes a body research showing that such hip and thigh fat can help to reduce the risk of diabetes and heart diseases. In an article researchers of Harvard published the results of their study in the scientific journal 'Cell Metabolism', they said popular pear shape producing a large derriere in women may actually be protecting them against Type 2 diabetes because their bodies make better use of Insulin. Researcher Dr. Ronald Kahn said he was surprised to learn the fat in the rear was healthy. He said, “I think it points to a special aspect of fat where we need to do more research.”

Dr. Kahn thinks that this was great and could lead to finding another drug that might help develop a big hind.

Hyderabad, Nov 19: “Time and trouble will tame a wise statesman, but an arrogant politician is uncontrollable by any earthly force”

Once again, as his penchant for deadlines, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao predicted the fall of Kiran Kumar Reddy Regime in 10-15 days.

This time around his Nostradamus act may not be inasmuch ugly as it appears or may not turn out to be as ridiculous as his earlier deadlines, for there are a good number of Congress legislators looking to cross fences  or eager to convert their affiliations to secure their future.

The only factor that might make this latest prediction of KCR to turn out to be as grotesque as his earlier such numerous deadlines is that there are not enough fence sitters who wanted to face an immediate election in case the government falls. Hence, it is highly likely that the Government might survive the scare of no confidence motion.

To say that KCR sprang a surprise by doing another act of Nostradamus may not be without reason since the irrepressible lot within the Congress is far less to make up for numbers that would make it mandatory for a transfer of power, thus any attempt to oust the Government would only lead to an election. And, none, including the TDP, is prepared for it as any immediacy in polls would be perilous to every contender for power, owing to his/her own set of woes.

Talking about KCR’s penchant for deadlines, it is surprising that KCR, somehow, stopped setting deadlines on Telangana, the bread and butter issue of his politics, the catalyst agenda of his evolution as a politician and instead he began to set deadlines on the future of other parties and even on the survival of the governments. A unique change indicating how fast the politicians adapt to situations.

It is surprising or uncanny that not setting anymore deadlines have become a doctrinaire choice or forced option for him.

Or it appears so, for he knows the Congress would not toe his line on the statehood issue and it has firmly driven a point(or is it “Signal”) in no nonsensical way during his so called confabulations with its think tanks in New Delhi  that he could not have the Telangana state on platter before 2014  Assembly elections. Or has he at last realized that there is a great risk in crying wolf one time too more?

On the sidelines of above deadline over the future of Kiran’s government, KCR also juxtaposed subtly some more messages like TRS is not an ‘obstructing association” to prevent anybody’s padayatra and BJP would continue in the TJAC as he is unclear as of now on his future plans vis-à-vis electoral understandings with other parties.

The statement that TRS will not prevent anybody’s Padayatra assumes significance, when YS Sharmila is all set to enter Telangana in a few days from now. Similarly his nod to allow BJP to continue to be part of TJAC assumes importance as not very long ago he anointed a communal tag to BJP and vowed to maintain a distance from it.

Is he designing a strategy to knit an alliance among the YSRCP, the BJP and the TRS? If that is the motif, it may practically prove to be futile exercise. The amalgamation of anti-Kiran or anti-congress forces doesn’t mean their absorption of agendas into one another. The YSR Congress has almost shaken its hands with Majlis-e-Ittehaadul Muslimeen. But he may be nursing an ambition to sail with the BJP, if the situation warrants and if the latter appears stronger in the days to come.

On the sidelines of the above, the Chieftain of TRS also embarked upon taming some elements among TJAC who nursed ambitions to tame KCR on running the affairs of Telangana movement. And he did tame them the way only he can do. In doing so he once again proved that he is the “Master” of Telangana politics and would not hesitate to crush uncompromisingly anyone who tries to replace him from that position.

KCR’s pronouncement that ‘nobody’s padayatra would be interrupted’ is seen more as a diktat handed out to Telangana JAC convener Prof M Kodandaram, who is badly bruised over his feeble attempt to protest the entry of CBN into Telangana region and also for trying to deal Telangana movement against the whims of KCR.

After his feeble attempt and KCR’s subtle message that TRS is not an “Obstructing Association”, Kodandaram would now remain silent and suffer in humility rather than to hold futile demonstrations before Telangana antagonists. In anticipation of the adherence to the orders of the vanguard of Telangana politics, poor Kodandaram is allowed or permitted to participate in the ‘Samarabheri’ meet at Suryapet on November 23 and ‘deeksha divas’ on November 29 as a gesture of superciliousness.

With one shrewd move, KCR made Kodandaram to be more apologetic than assertive and prevailed over him on who the boss is when it comes to championing the politics on Telangana issue. He sent a clear message to Kodandaram and his ilk in TJAC that he doesn’t need anybody to dictate him or impress upon him on how to deal with the politics of Telangana movement.

He might allow JACs and Kodandarams and other Telangana protagonists to announce agendas, but they would remain just customary pronouncements.

KCR did it in 12 years many a time and continues to do so uncompromisingly.

No earthly force can tame this arrogant politician.

For the first time, a state minister has dubbed for a role in a Tollywood movie and colleagues are going all out to portray Kiran Kumar as a hero of the people.
Supporters of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy are trying their best to ensure that their `propaganda' film ‘Operation Duryodhan 2’ becomes a hit.
Apart from recovering their Rs 5-crore investment, they want the maximum number of people to see the film, which showcases the capabilities of their leader. The aim is to expose his detractors within and outside the party.
Apparently for the first time, a state minister, E. Pratap Reddy, has dubbed for his role. “Pratap Reddy likes to complete any given task with perfection; so to give a realistic touch to his character, he preferred to dub for himself,” says producer Surender Reddy.
The minister is actually portraying the character of Kiran Kumar Reddy and the political thriller will be showcasing the various schemes initiat ed by the CM and his “zero tolerance” towards corruption. In the film the CM appoints his friend and fire-brand CBI officer (Jagapathi Babu) who busts various scams and sends the culprits to jail.
For the last few months, the CM has been keeping track of the film and had even made enquiries with his party leaders.
“Some Congress leaders have funded this project to show Kiran Kumar Reddy in a good light and highlight his determination to eradicate corruption,” says a source.
Some of the characters of the film reportedly remind one of leaders like APCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“The film also shows the recent plans to unseat the CM,“ the source adds.
No Cabinet has shown so much interest in a Telugu potboiler and Kiran Kumar and his colleagues will apparently be watching the film soon.
‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu’ was supposed to be a veiled promotion of the late YSR as an able leader.
Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Paisa’ is expected to showcase the rise of Jagan Mohan Reddy as a politician and a businessman. The film ends with him becoming the Chief Minister.
Vishnu Manchu’s film ‘Assembly Rowdy’ has been “designed” to glorify Jagan Mohan Reddy who will be shown coming out of jail and ruling the roost in the Assembly.

The death of dentist Savita Halappanavar due to the refusal of doctors at the Galway University Hospital to terminate her pregnancy and save her life has angered the Indian community in Ireland.
Savita’s family, including her husband, Pravin Halappanavar are heading for Ireland to join the agitation to be launched by the Indian community there on Friday, demanding action against the dotors responsible for her death.
“It is unfortunate that no government official from either India or Ireland has contacted Savita’s husband or any of us after her death. While political outfits and the Indian community across Ireland are protesting the doctors’ negligence, neither the Karnataka government nor the Centre have bothered to contact us. We want both the state and Union governments to take up this issue very seriously and give us justice,’’ said Savita’s father, Andanappa Yalgi, in Belgaum.
“The authorities in Ireland should realise that abortion may be illegal for Catholics in Ireland but not for Indians staying there. The doctors did not act professionally when it came to saving the life of a healthy woman. Due to their own set of rules, both the mother and her unborn child died miserably,’’ Mr Yalgi added angrily.
Both the Halappanavar and Yalgi families have been flooded with sympathetic messages and visits by well wishers shocked by the manner of Savita’s death in Ireland. While her husband, who had brought her body to India for cremation, had planned to stay for a while more, the Indian community in Ireland is insisting that he rush back to help them intensify their agitation.
Savita’s family is waiting for the results of the investigation into her death before taking legal action against the doctors.
Protests were held in London outside the Irish embassy and in Cork too.
Independent expert to probe Savita’s death
The Opposition parties in Ireland, Labour and Socialist parties, have called for another protest outside the Irish Parliament and outside Irish embassies across the world on Saturday to force the government led by Prime Minister Enda Kenny to introduce proper legislation on the issue.
The Opposition members also forced the Irish government to hold a debate on Savita’s death in the Dail, the Parliament.
Irish health minister James Reilly told Parliament that two investigations arey underway and a coroner’s inquest will also take place.
“Savita’s death has highlighted the need to deal with the legacy of the X case. I have never received so many letters, emails and phone calls,” Labour MP Gerald Nash said

Hyderabad, Nov 16: Violence broke out once again near Charminar in the old city of Hyderabad Friday over a temple row.

At least seven people were injured in stone pelting by an unruly mob, and baton charge by police.

Teargas shells were also fired by the police to disperse the mob, which set afire four vehicles and damaged several other vehicles, witnesses said.

Trouble broke out soon after Friday prayers at the historic Mecca Masjid when a large number of people coming out of the mosque tried to proceed towards Charminar to offer 'salam' at a religious symbol abutting the monument.

Policemen and paramilitary personnel, however, stopped them by setting up barricades.

Raising slogans against the police and demanding that restrictions be lifted, the protestors started pelting stones at policemen and attacking vehicles and shops.

The police resorted to baton charge and fired several teargas shells to disperse the mob, which was pelting stones from three sides of the Charminar.

Police said the situation has since been brought under control.

Additional reinforcements were rushed to sensitive areas around Charminar.

Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy reviewed the situation with top police officials. She appealed to people to cooperate in maintaining peace.

The communally sensitive old city had been witnessing sporadic incidents of violence for the last two weeks following a row over the Bhagylakshmi Temple abutting Charminar, which symbolizes the historic city.

Muslim groups have been opposing attempts to expand the temple on the ground that it was illegal and had marred the beauty of the 400-year-old monument.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court Nov 5 had ordered status quo as on Oct 30.

However, the erection of a canopy over the temple structure, in alleged violation of the court orders last Sunday, triggered violent protests.

The government claimed that it was allowed only to implement court orders.

Accusing the Congress government of colluding with communal elements, the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) withdrew support to the government.

Hyderabad, Nov 15: The BJP State President G Kishan Reddy on Thursday held the MIM responsible for the  tension that prevailed in the old city during the past one week.

Speaking to the media here, Kishan Reddy has made it clear that Rashtreeya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) had no links with the clashes that have  taken place in the old city,  resulting in tense situation. MIM party has created panic in the public with its  midnight dharna, he alleged.

Alleging that the MIM was working with an agenda to expand its gundaism throughout the state, he charged the Party  with working with a conspiracy so  that the Muslims  would not  develop. The BJP was  exposing the gundasim of MIM from time to time.

He strongly criticized other political parties for keeping mum on the issue of Bhagya Laxmi temple issue. He questioned as to  why the GHMC Mayor, who belongs to the  MIM, has not resigned to the post even after MIM withdrew its support to the Congress government.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek were injured as they struggled through the crowd to meet ailing Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray at his house Matoshree.

On Wednesday night, the actors went to visit Thackeray, who is reportedly in critical condition.

"Balasaheb Thackeray: a fighter all his life, fights his life! Prayers needed now! Yes both Abhishek and me were injured with cuts, but are fine and back home... the doctors at Matoshree attended on us," Amitabh tweeted.

Amitabh recalled the time when he was recovering in hospital after his near fatal accident on the sets of 1983 film "Coolie", and Thackeray had come to see him.

"When I was flown in to Mumbai from Bangalore in semi-conscious state after 'Coolie' accident, it was his ambulance that took me to Breach Candy Hospital," Amitabh said.

"When I fought for my life after 'Coolie' accident, he came to visit me in hospital, with a cartoon he had drawn Yamraj defeated! Yamraj God of Death, defeated by me... wish I was as proficient a cartoonist as he, I would wish to draw that for him," added Big B.

The 70-year-old says Thackeray has always treated him like family.

"When Jaya and I married, he (Bal Thackeray) called us to his house... and the rituals that were conducted was of the 'bahu' coming home! From that day on he always treated us as family," he said.

London, Nov 15: An independent public inquiry must be conducted into the death of Savita Halappanavar, who collapsed after doctors in an Ireland hospital refused to abort her foetus on grounds that "this is a Catholic country", demanded a friend of the family.

The death of Savita Halappanavar must be the subject of an independent public inquiry, said C.V.R. Prasad, a surgeon who is a close friend of 31-year-old Savita and her husband Praveen.

Prasad, an orthopaedic surgeon at the Merlin Park Hospital in Galway, said such an inquiry must be taken out of the hands of the Health Service Executive (HSE) or University Hospital Galway, Irish Times reported Thursday.

Halappanavar arrived Oct 21 with back pain at Galway University Hospital where she was found to be miscarrying at 17 weeks. She died of septicaemia Oct 28.

Her death has sparked outrage in India.

Prasad, who visited Savita in hospital before she died, said: "Any inquiry should be public. That is the way it should be, it should not be conducted by the HSE or the hospital. It should be independent. I hope that might save the life of another women. This should never happen to another woman. Religion and medicine should never mix."

Savita's husband Pravin, an engineer at Boston Scientific in Galway, described how she asked several times over a three-day period that the pregnancy be terminated. She was in terrible pain and was miscarrying.

He said the request was refused by medical staff who said they could not do anything because there was still a foetal heartbeat. He said they were told that this was the law and that "this is a Catholic country".

He was quoted as saying that she spent over three days "in agony" until the foetal heartbeat stopped.

The dead foetus was removed, but Savita's condition deteriorated and she died.

The HSE said that an independent external expert in obstetrics and gynaecology would be appointed to strengthen the incident management team it has asked to investigate the circumstances of the death.

The team would liaise with Pravin.

"The process of incident review seeks to ascertain the facts relating to the incident, draw conclusions and make recommendations in relation to any steps that may need to be taken to prevent a similar incident occurring again."

Hyderabad, Nov 14: The Congress High Command which has given a long rope to the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is reported to have decided to replace him, as a fallout of the MIM's decision to part company with the Congress.

Reports say that the Congress which has obtained the resignation of Kiran on an earlier occasion when dissidence was at its peak is likely to accept now.

According to information, the Chief Minister was called to New Delhi for seeking his explanation on the latest political turn, before taking a final decision on easing him out. Kiran is likely to leave for Hyderabad today or tomorrow to face the final judgment.

Congress leaders close to Kiran are stating that the Chief Minister had done no wrong to invite the wrath of the MIM.

Even an independent observer like noted educationist and MLC Prof. K Nageswar has stated that MIM has been indulging in land grabbing and blackmailing in the garb of protection of minority rights. Congress insiders are stating that the Chief Minister has acted as per law and the charges of harassment of the Muslim community by the MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi were totally baseless. They say that Owaisi wants cases against those who had indulged in criminal acts be withdrawn and Kiran had not obliged him. Likewise, the Bhagya Lakshmi temple issue was also blown out of proportion by the MIM say leaders close to the Chief Minister.

Bhagya Lakshmi temple authorities had put a canopy round it. The charge of the MIM is that behind that canopy, they were expanding the temple, endangering the heritage monument Charminar abutting it. Bhagya Lakshmi temple authorities are stating that they covered the temple only to offer protection to the devotees from sun and dust on the busy road. However, high court has already issued orders directing the temple authorities to maintain status quo. This means that no construction or expansion activity would be allowed. Then why should the MIM be worried, question Kiran supporters.

Another issue MIM chose to raise was the arrest of the party MLAs. The MLAs were arrested to defuse tension in the old city and were released in the evening. No cases were registered against them. Then why should Owaisi become so angry, question pro-Kiran Congress leaders.

However, Congress leadership is considering the rage of Owaisi as the rage of Muslims. But Kiran supporters say that Owaisi represents only a small Muslim community of the old city and not the entire Muslim population of the state. Excepting in the old city of Hyderabad, his party has not won any election anywhere else. So they feel that it was a misconception that Owaisi was the leader or savior of the entire Muslim community.

Muslims have always been a major vote bank for the Congress, except for a brief period after the demolition of the Babri Masjid. However, as no other party was as secular as Congress, they have once again started reposing their trust in the party. TDP which initially gained the trust of the Muslim community, lost it after Chandra Babu Naidu chose to support the BJP and the NDA. Naidu is still making amends to it.

While Kiran baiters are sure that he would be replaced now, his supporters are still hopeful that he would explain the situation to the High Command and be able to retain his position.
